COAST has opened its new cafe near Craig-y-Don paddling pool.

Darren Randle, of Coast cafe bar and gift shop in Rhos-on-Sea, has taken on the tenancy of the premises previously leased by Alana Spencer, founder of Ridiculously Rich and winner of The Apprentice 2016.

The Pioneer has been making efforts to contact Coast.

The business posted on Facebook on May 10: "We have finally opened the hatches for take out coffees , homemade cakes , hot pies, and ice cream.

"Hope to see you all soon."

Alana decided to close the doors to her cafe in Craig-y-Don after less than two years.

The businesswoman told the Pioneer: "We loved being part of the Llandudno community and were lucky enough to meet lots of lovely customers, but our bakery business back in our home town of Aberystwyth has gotten very busy and we wanted to focus fully on our online sales.

"We are very happy that Darren will be taking over the site with Coast and wish him all the very best!"
