Llandudno has been found to be among the most affordable seaside resorts in the UK for a holiday, according to a recent survey. 

CheapRooms.co.uk compiled a list of the most expensive seaside resorts in the UK based on the average price for the cheapest available double room in a hotel or guest house during the month of August (only properties within walking distance of a beach and rated at least 3 stars were considered).

Out of the 30 seaside resorts in the survey Llandudno was 23rd on the list, making it one of the cheaper options when it came to looking for a holiday by the sea.

The average daily rate in Llandudno was £76 just behind the likes of Skegness (£75), Scarborough (£73) and Southport (£72). 

Blackpool was found to be the most affordable location in the UK for a holiday with an average daily rate of £48.

Sidmouth was the most expensive seaside resort according to CheapRooms.co.uk.

Since the same survey was last held in 2019, CheapRooms.co.uk said hotel rates had gone up on average by 35% - an increase of almost 8% per year.
