A FOUR-star hotel on Llandudno's promenade has has been recognised in the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2026, placing it among the top 10 per cent of hotels worldwide.
St George’s Hotel secured the prestigious award due to its Tripadvisor guest reviews; the accolade is based on Tripadvisor guest reviews, ratings and experiences shared by millions of travellers globally throughout 2025, highlighting consistently high standards of service and hospitality.
The recognition reflects the AA 4 Silver Star rated hotel's continued commitment to high-quality service from luxurious stays to dining experiences, with visitors regularly praising the warm Welsh welcome, attentive service and distinctive charm of the hotel.

The St George's was built in 1854 by Isaiah Davies, who was just 24 years old. He was born on a farm on the Great Orme and inherited a pub called the King’s Head (still in operation at the foot of the Great Orme near the tram station) when he married the owner’s daughter, Anne Owen, at just 19 years old.
Isaiah acquired the plot in a rather unusual way, by exchanging the drinking debts at the King’s Head, which were owed by John Williams, an agent for Lord Mostyn’s family, who owned all the land along Llandudno Promenade.
The luxury hotel has opened a brand-new bar in May. The name - The Isaiah Bar - is a nod to the hotel’s founder.
