A COUPLE from Llandudno have taken over management of a popular café adjacent to Conwy Castle.
Husband and wife duo Darren and Emma Cooper, who own The Queen Victoria and Taylor's Café Bar in Llandudno, have taken on Castle Café in Conwy town.
The café opened on Saturday (February 8) and has extended its opening hours to seven days a week.
The business serves a rang of food and hot and cold drinks, including full breakfasts and mouth-watering desserts.
Darren said the couple felt “very privileged to be able to have something so close to the castle”.

He told The Pioneer: “My wife is Llandudno born and bred and I have lived here for 38 years so it is very much home for us both.
“We have kept two young ladies on that worked for the previous owners and brought over a manageress that has worked for us for the past four years in our other establishments.
“Our aim in Conwy is to offer good quality local produce and locally roasted coffee in a lovely setting for either sitting in or take away seven days a week.”
The venue, alongside their two other businesses, is dog friendly, a theme Darren said was “important as we believe that a lot more people seem to holiday here now with their pets”.
He added: “If you’re heading for a walk around the castle, having a bit of me time or just fancy a tasty treat then we are the perfect rest stop.”
